Nigeria-eligible forward only focused on PSV amidst interest from Borussia Dortmund

The Black and Yellow are looking for a replacement for Jadon Sancho, but one of their targets is not interested in a move to Germany

Noni Madueke has revealed he’s only focused on PSV despite interest from German Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund.

It was reported earlier in the week by Soccernet as per Eindhoven daily newspaper that the England born star of Nigerian descent could be a subject of transfer war between PSV and Dortmund after the player’s father and agent were spotted in Germany a few days ago,

However, in a recent development, the 19-year-old has told Voetbal International that he is only concerned with his Eindhoven side at the moment but failed to disclose if there has been contact from the German side.

“I really can’t tell you anything about it (interest from Borussia Dortmund). I’m a PSV footballer, and I’m enjoying playing football at the moment, that’s all,” Madueke said.

“I don’t want to say anything about them when I play for PSV. That’s not respectful to the club and the fans who I love.”

“I want to play games, that’s the most important thing for my development at the moment. If I play, it’s good, so that’s where my focus lies. But of course, the coach makes the decisions.”

The England-born but Nigeria eligible forward was on target twice yesterday in his second pre-season game. It was his third goal in two consecutive games.

He has three years left on his contract, and it is believed that Red and Whites are looking to hold out for a mega fee if the deal is to go through.
