How Chukwuze joined in Villarreal’s celebrations against Arsenal despite going off injured

The Super Eagles winger was stretchered off just before the half-hour mark as the Yellow Submarines edged out Arsenal to reach the Europa League final

An injured Samuel Chukwueze still joined in Villarreal celebrations following their passage to the Europa League final after playing a 0-0 draw against Arsenal in the second leg of their semifinal clash.

Chukwueze went off on a stretcher in the 29th minute, but he returned to the pitch at full time to celebrate with his teammates.

The former Golden Eaglets star was given help by Vicente Iborra, who carried him on his back to ensure he does not miss out on the celebrations.

Villarreal qualified for their first major European final after playing a 0-0 draw at the Emirates to secure a 2-1 aggregate win.

The Yellow Submarines had beaten the Gunners 2-1 in the first leg at the Estadio de la Ceramica, with Chukwueze playing a part in the opening goal.

Villarreal will now take on Manchester United in the final at the Stadion Energa Gdańsk on May 26.
