The Real Betis legend spent a year in the English top-flight with Ipswich at the turn of the millennium, and he is convinced his younger compatriot has the tools to shine in the world’s most glamorous league

Ex-Ajax man George Finidi does not doubt that Villarreal winger Samuel Chukwueze can excel at any of Europe’s biggest clubs should he make the switch in the summer.

Finidi praised Chukwueze’s speed, technique, and quality, insisting that the youngster would blossom even more should he decide to move to England.

Chukwueze has been the subject of interest from Arsenal, Chelsea, and Liverpool since he made the breakthrough at Villarreal three years ago.

Interests in the youngster’s services could skyrocket the more following a string of remarkable performances in the Europa League – he contributed five goals (one goal, four assists) in 11 matches.

The youngster was particularly impressive as Villarreal swept past Arsenal in the Europa League semi-final, and Finidi believes that the 22-year-old rise to the peak of his powers if he stays determined.

“Samuel Chukwueze can make it to any club he wants too,” Finidi told Tribalfootball.com.

“But it depends on what he wants and how well and determined that he wants it.

“There is no doubt that he is a very good player. He has to remain focused. If it is in England, he can play in EPL.

“He has the speed, the quality and the technique. Definitely, he can play in England.”

Villarreal will face Manchester United in the final of the Europa League later this month.

However, Chukwueze could miss the game after cupping a hamstring injury in the second leg of their last-four clash against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
