Victor Osimhen and Napoli make the trip to Juventus to face the champions in a huge Serie A clash that promises to be as exciting as it is explosive.
After a great number of false starts, Napoli have turned their season around at just the right time, losing none of their last six games to arrive at Turin level on points with their hosts, with Champions League qualification now within reach.
Andrea Pirlo’s men have fallen to fourth after failing to win their last two matches with only a +1 goal difference separating them and fifth-placed Napoli.
It is a perfect time for Osimhen to face Juventus as the Nigerian youngster is slowly getting back to his best form, just about the period when the Old Ladies are wobbling and looking likely to hand over their title to Inter Milan.
Osimhen has only scored four goals in 14 league games since his multimillion euros transfer to Naples last summer, but two of those have come in his last four matches for Gennaro Gattuso’s side.
The former Lille star scored a brilliant goal in his side’s 3-1 defeat of Bologna in early March before playing his part from the bench in wins away to Roma and AC Milan.
And just at the weekend, the youngster traded goals with compatriot Simy Nwankwo as Napoli edge Crotone in a seven-goal thriller.
Add that to his fine strike in the Super Eagles 3-0 thrashing of Lesotho during the international break, and you’ll see the image of a striker enjoying a good run in front of goal.
Juventus will fight with everything they have, as a loss will push them out of the Champions League spot with nine games left in the campaign. And when there is the iconic Cristiano Ronaldo within your ranks, your chances of winning improve significantly.
But the champions drew with Torino and lost to Benevento in their last two matches, and a firing Osimhen can help the Partenopei edge this huge top-four clash.
