The Foxes had dropped points in their last two matches in the Premier League, but they picked up the three points at the AMEX Stadium following a come back win over the Seagulls
Super Eagles star Kelechi Iheanacho scored in back-to-back league games for the first time this season as Leicester City put an end to their mini-slump with a 2-1 victory over Brighton.
Brendan Rodgers men had lost 3-1 to Arsenal and played a 1-1 draw against Burnley before the win over Graham Potter’s side.
But it was not an easy victory as they had to come from behind to take the three points. Adam Lallana’s perfect finish in the 10th minute gave Brighton the lead.
It proved to be the only goal of the opening half as the Seagulls went into the break with the advantage. The second half started with Leicester trying to get back into the game, and they drew level in the 62nd minute courtesy of a strike from Iheanacho.
The former Manchester City striker got on the end of a brilliant pass from Youri Tielemans to dink over Robert Sanchez in Brighton’s goal. It was Iheanacho’s second goal in as many league games after scoring the equaliser in the draw against Burnley.
The 24-year-old now has three goals in 14 league appearances for the Foxes this season. His goal gave Leicester a major boost, with Rodgers men going on to win the game courtesy of a header from Daniel Amartey three minutes from time.
