Nigerian players have not been busy in this transfer window, but one forgotten Super Eagles star is on the move to East Africa
Former Kano Pillars star, Junior Lokosa, is finally back playing after joining Tanzanian club, Simba SC on a six-month loan deal with an obligation to buy.
Simba, who are currently second in the Tanzanian top-flight, announced the deal on their Twitter page. The 27-year-old has been brought in to fuel Simba’s title challenge and help them reach the semi-finals of the CAF Champions League.
Lokosa has been without a club since he was deemed surplus to requirements at his former club, Esperance de Tunis.
The Nigerian left the Tunisian club in July and has been looking for a new team since. The move to Simba offers him a chance to get his career back on track.
He could make his debut for the club when they take on Gwambina FC on Saturday.
