Ndubuisi Egbo Rewarded With Two Big Awards For His Incredible Feat In Albania

The former Super Eagles goalkeeper set numerous records last year, and he has now been rewarded with two special awards

Former Nigerian international, Ndubuisi Egbo has picked up two special awards in Albania after a record-breaking 2020. Egbo made history last year when he became the first African man to coach a team to a top-flight title in Europe.

The 47-year-old led KF Tirana to a league title in Albania’s top division. After making history, Egbo also became the first African manager to manage a team in the UEFA Champions League.

Egbo manged Tirana in two Champions League qualifying games while he also coached the team in a Europa League qualifier.

Although the former Super Eagles shot-stopper has now been sacked as Tirana manager, his impact in Albania has not been forgotten.

Egbo was named Albania’s Coach of the year and the country’s Sports Personality of the year as a reward for his groundbreaking feat.

The ex El-Masry goalkeeper is still yet to find a new role since he was sacked by Tirana.
