The flying winger came off the bench to help the Yellow Canaries secure a pleasing home win in the Spanish top-flight on Saturday
Nigeria international Samuel Chukwueze contributed the assist to the second goal as Villarreal earned a fine 2-1 victory over Levante at the Estadio de la Ceramica.
Villarreal suffered their first defeat in 19 games across all competitions when going down 2-0 at Sevilla in the last match of 2020.
But Unai Emery’s men bounced back immediately at the first time of asking against Levante, thanks to goals from Fer Nino in the first half and Gerard Moreno after the interval.
That second goal, though, arrived after good work from Samuel Chukwueze who started the game on the bench and entered the pitch at the start of the second half.
The second goal became even more crucial after Sergio Leon reduced the deficit for the visitors In the 73rd minute.
But the hosts held on for the win that momentarily lifts them up to fourth position on the league table.
2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup winner Chukwueze has made 16 La Liga appearances for Villarreal this term, but only six of those have come as a starting eleven.
The 21-year-old star would, however, hope his impressive showing versus Levante would earn him a starting role when the Yellow Canaries make the trip to the Estadio Ruta de la Plata to face Zamora in the Copa del Rey on January 5.
