Super Eagles Star Set For A Clash Against Cristiano Ronaldo

The round of 16 draw for the UEFA Champions League took place in Nyon, Switzerland on Monday afternoon and the only Nigerian player left in the competition will face one of the game’s greatest

Super Eagles star Zaidu Sanusi will square up against Cristiano Ronaldo after Porto were drawn against Juventus in the Champions League round of 16 draw that held on Monday afternoon.

Porto finished second behind Manchester City in Group C and were drawn against Juventus, who topped Group G ahead of Barcelona.

Sanusi featured in all of Porto’s group games, scoring in the 2-0 win over Olympique Marseille. The Nigerian international’s has had an impressive start with the Dragons and will be relishing the prospect of facing Ronaldo and Juventus.

It’s not the best of draws for the Portuguese champions, but they can take inspiration from Lyon’s performance against Juventus last season.

In other draws, Manchester City were drawn against Borussia Monchengladbach, while Liverpool face RB Leipzig.

Chelsea face a tough opponent in Atletico Madrid while Barcelona’s clash against Paris Saint Germain (PSG) is arguably the tie of the round.

Sevilla take on Borussia Dortmund while Atalanta face 13-time Champions, Real Madrid.
