The Super Eagles star was on target for the second time in the Serie A as Napoli beat Bologna by a lone goal
Victor Osimhen’s goal was enough to give Napoli the victory in their Serie A encounter against Siniša Mihajlović’s Bologna at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara.
Osimhen opened his account for Napoli in the 4-1 win over Atalanta, and his opener against Bologna is his second of the season.
The former Lille striker headed home a cross from Hirving Lozano in the 23rd minute to give Gennaro Gattuso’s men the lead.
It was his first headed goal out of the last 15 goals he has scored for former club, Lille and Napoli. The Neapolitans thought they doubled their lead four minutes after the break, but Kalidou Koulibaly’s header was ruled out following a VAR review.
Despite the disallowed goal, Napoli held on for the win, bouncing back from the disappointing home loss to Sassuolo last week.
