The Nigerian Football National team have travelled to Freetown ahead of the return leg of their Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Sierra Leone.
Both sides had played out a dramatic 4-4 draw in the first leg clash at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin, last Friday.
Nigeria had gone 4-0 ahead in the first 30 minutes, but Sierra Leone mounted an incredible comeback, scoring once in the first half before another three goals in the last 20 minutes sealed a point for them.
It was a result that left Nigerians disappointed with fans criticising the performance. However, Super Eagles stars have vowed to make fans smile by recording a victory in the second leg.
And in a series of pictures posted on the team’s official Twitter page, Super Eagles players were seen leaving for Freetown, where the match will take place.
A win for Nigeria at the Siaka Stevens Stadium on Tuesday could see the three-time African champions qualify for the biggest sporting competition in Africa.
