Spartak Moscow has unveiled former Super Eagles player, Victor Moses following his move from Premier League giants, Chelsea.
Moses joined Spartak on a season-long loan with the option to buy permanently next summer, and he was officially unveiled at the Otkritie Arena on Friday.
The ex- Nigerian international will wear the number eight jersey at Spartak and could make his debut in the Russian Premier League clash against Khimki on Saturday.
It’s a second successive loan move for Moses, who is not in Frank Lampard’s plans at Stamford Bridge. The former Wigan attacker played on loan at Fenerbahce and Inter Milan last season.
His time with the Nerazzurri gave him the chance to reunite with former manager, Antonio Conte. Moses was a key player in Antonio Conte’s Chelsea squad that won the Premier League in the 2016/2017 season.
It was initially reported that Conte was interested in taking Moses back to the San Siro after he impressed in the six months he stayed at the club.
However, a deal could not be agreed before the transfer window shut. But the Russian League is one of the leagues whose transfer window has not closed, and that opened the door for Spartak to sign Moses.
