Good News For Taiwo Awoniyi

The Nigerian joined Union Berlin on loan from Liverpool this summer, and he has celebrated the move with the birth of his child

Taiwo Awoniyi is a father for the first time following his wife’s successful delivery. According to one of his friends, Chioma Charity, Taiwo’s wife, Mrs Taiye Awoniyi, gave birth in the early hours of Friday morning.

The birth of his first child is good news for Taiwo, who has endured a difficult time on the pitch over the last two years.

Taiwo spent last season on loan from Liverpool at Mainz, but he only featured regularly after the coronavirus lockdown.

He joined Liverpool in 2015, but he is yet to feature for Jurgen Klopp’s men with the former Golden Eaglets star going out on loan at different clubs during this period.

This season, the 22-year-old was loaned to Union Berlin and has made one Bundesliga appearance for Eisern Union.
