Osimhen Scores Another Hat-Trick But Fails To Fulfil Naples Archbishop Wish

The former Lille hotshot scored a hat-trick in his first game for his new side and has now backed up the performance with another three goals

Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen scored a hat-trick in his second successive game for Napoli as Genaro Gattuso’s men thrashed Teramo in a preseason friendly.

The ex-Wolfsburg man would, however, be disappointed he could not fulfil Naples Archbishop wish, who had asked Osimhen to score five goals in his next game.

Nonetheless, Osimhen, an 81 million euros signing from Lille, continues to impress for the Gli Azzuri.

The 21-year-old put Napoli ahead in the fourth minute before Hirving Lozano doubled the advantage ten minutes later.

Osimhen scored Napoli’s third and his second in the 61st minute after he was set up by Amin Younes. The Nigerian international then completed his hat-trick four minutes later.

Shortly after he completed his hat-trick, Osimhen was replaced by Matteo Politano, but he would be satisfied with the way his Napoli career has started.

Osimhen will hope to carry this form into the new Serie A season. Napoli open their campaign against Parma.
