Fulham Close In On Deal To Bring Super Eagles Star Back To The Premier League

Negotiations have reportedly kicked off to bring a Chelsea Academy product back to west London to join the Whites

Newly promoted Premier League side Fulham are in talks with Torino to sign Nigerian full-back Ola Aina on a season-long loan, according to Sky Sports as per Tutto Mercato.

A product of Chelsea’s academy, 23-year-old Aina made six first-team appearances for the Blues – four of them as a substitute. He also had a season on loan at Hull City.

But the London-born Nigeria international signed for Torino from Chelsea on a permanent deal last year after impressing during a season on loan.

Aina and Torino endured a disappointing campaign last term, with the Italian side finishing in 16th place on the final Serie A standings, a mere two spots and five points above the relegation zone.

A return to London, where it all started for Aina, coupled with the chance to feature in the most glamorous league on the planet, could tempt the Super Eagles defender to chose Fulham instead of other clubs interested in his services.

Aina featured in 32 Serie A matches – only 20 in the starting eleven – for Torino last season.
