The Foxes missed out on a Champions League spot on the last day, but they are already making plans to challenge again ahead of next season
Leicester City are considering the sale of Super Eagles star, Kelechi Iheanacho, to fund the purchase of Celtic striker, Odsonne Edouard.
Iheanacho joined Leicester from Manchester City in 2017, but the Nigerian international has not really been convincing in the three years.
The 23-year-old has failed to lock down a starting shirt at the King Power Stadium since he joined the Foxes. This season, Iheanacho scored ten times in 26 appearances for Brendan Rodgers’ side, but his first appearance in the League only came at the start of December.
Although he looks rejuvenated since making his first league appearance, he was used mainly as an impact sub, and only completed the 90 minutes twice in 20 league games.
And following the Foxes’ disappointment of finishing outside the top four places, Rodgers is looking to add more firepower to his attack, and he’s ready to sacrifice Iheanacho to bring in someone who can support Vardy upfront.
According to the Dailymail, the former Liverpool manager has identified Celtic striker, Odsonne Edouard as the man to boost Leicester’s attack, and that could spell the end for Iheanacho.
The Nigerian international is attracting interest from Aston Villa, and Leicester are willing to listen to offers for him.
