The team has not played for almost a year, but when they regroup again, there could be two new additions in the squad

Super Eagles manager Gernot Rohr has confirmed that two players have declared their intentions to represent Nigeria at the international level, while he’s been in touch with some of the Super Eagles players. The former Bordeaux manager said this in an interview with Germany based Nigerian journalist, Oma Akatugba.

When asked if he has been monitoring Nigerian stars activities from home, Rohr said; “Yes, I had my home office here because there was no possibility to travel, but by phone, by video call, by monitoring the games.”

“They played in May already in Germany, and we had some players there also. So I could even travel to Germany and to meet some players, even some new players because we are all the time searching to make the team better.

“And two new players want to come with us, and this is a very important news for us.” Rohr also revealed he has been in touch with these new players.

“Yes, I travelled in March, I could meet one of them, the other, I  could meet three weeks ago,” Rohr added.

The likes of Bukayo Saka, Eberechi Eze, Ovie Ejaria, Kevin Akpoguma, Ademola Lookman, Noah Bazee and Felix Udokhai are some of the players that are being targeted to represent Nigeria over England.

However, Rohr stopped short at revealing the names of the new players, saying he cannot.
