Dutch top-flight clubs have begun preparations ahead of the new Eredivisie season, and The Tukkers are reportedly interested in a Super Eagles star to bolster their squad
FC Twente are interested in helping Tyronne Ebuehi get his career back on track after reports emerged that they are interested in offering him a return to the Netherlands.
It has been a difficult last two years for Ebuehi, but a return to the country where it all started for him could see him bounce back.
The 24-year-old was born in the Netherlands and was formerly with Ado Den Haag. During his time at the club, he made his Super Eagles debut and was also part of the team that went to the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Shortly after the World Cup, Ebuehi signed for Portuguese giants, Benfica. However, Ebuehi suffered a knee ligament injury which ruled him out for the whole of 2018/2019 season.
Although he made his return at the just concluded season, the Nigerian international was restricted to only 510 minutes of action in the Liga Pro.
With him struggling for game time, Twente are ready to offer him a return to the Eredivisie. According to FC Twente latest updates per RTV Oost, Ran Jans side are close to sealing a deal for the Super Eagles full-back.
However, it is not known yet if it is a loan deal or an outright buy. Ebuehi’s contract with Benfica runs till 2023.
