The Leicester City striker has his compatriot Odion Ighalo playing for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men, but he has been impressed by the displays of others
Manchester United are a team in top form after smashing at least three goals past opponents in each of their last four consecutive league victories, an excellent run boosted by the impact of Bruno Fernandes, Marcus Rashford, and Paul Pogba, says Super Eagles star Kelechi Iheanacho in a chat with Sky Sports.
The Red Devils have remained undefeated in their last 17 matches in all competitions, winning each of their previous four league games by a three-goal margin.
That consistency has seen the 20-time English champions rise to fifth on the Premier League table, just one point behind Leicester City in fourth.
Brendan Rodgers’ side have struggled lately in their chase for a place in next season’s Champions League, claiming just one win – a 3-0 victory over Crystal Palace – in five games played since the league resumed in June.
Iheanacho scored his fifth league goal this season in that encounter, but the 2013 Fifa U17 World Cup Golden Ball winner knows Manchester United’s fantastic trio can dash the Foxes’ European dreams.
“Bruno [Fernandes] is a top player. They’ve got Marcus Rashford and Paul Pogba back in the team now,” Iheanacho said.
“They’re flying. But that’s not what we need to worry about. We just need to focus on our games.
“We want to win every game. We just keep working. We’re getting ready to go there. They did well in the last game against Tottenham, so we just to be focused, do our job and get the points we need.”
Iheanacho’s Leicester next make the trip to the Vitality Stadium to trade tackles with Bournemouth on Sunday before hosting Sheffield United at the King Power Stadium five days later.
