Victor Osimhen: Another Top Award For Nigeria’s Goal Scoring Sensation

The young Nigeria forward has picked up yet another individual award, a testament to the fantastic debut season he has enjoyed in France

Ligue 1 side, Lille has voted Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen, as the club’s Player of the Season.

Lille made the announcement on their official Twitter account;

The 21-year-old joined the Great Danes last summer for €12 million after excelling at Royal Charleroi in the Belgium Jupiler League.

Moving to France has been a blessing to Osimhen and a silencer to his critics who saw the Super Eagles number nine as a one-season wonder.

The former Wolfsburg striker netted 18 times and recorded six assists in 31 appearances across all competitions for Les Dogues before the season in France was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Following his brilliant performances, Osimhen was recently named, alongside Kylian Mbappe and Neymar Jr, in Ligue 1’s Team of the Season.

The prolific forward may have had his only season in France, with several top European clubs, including Napoli and Tottenham, interested in his services.
