The two Paris St Germaine forwards are among the best players in the world, and their abilities and exploits on the pitch have rendered the Nigeria international speechless
Bordeaux striker Josh Maja has named Brazil’s Neymar Jr as the best footballer he’s played against, describing the former Barcelona star as a maestro capable of deciding a match all alone.
But if it comes down to picking a striker for his virtual team, Maja prefers Neymar’s PSG teammate Kylian Mbappe who he describes as a ‘finisher’.
Maja moved to France in January last year to try his mettle against the best stars the French league has to offer, and a decent return of seven Ligue 1 goals and two assists in 28 games shows he’s not done badly.
But this campaign alone, both Neymar and Mbappe have combined to contribute an incredible 42 league goals to PSG’s cause, leading Thomas Tuchel’s side to yet another title triumph.
Super Eagles’ Maja has been impressed by the feats he has witnessed the two superstars performed nearly every week, finding it difficult to separate the two on his best player list.
“The best player I played against? I would say Neymar. There is Mbappé too, but I would choose Neymar,” the former Sunderland striker said, as per Girondins4ever.
“I think Mbappé is a finisher. Neymar is as magical as he is capable of concluding a match. So I would choose Neymar as my favourite player to watch.
“But to integrate my team, I would rather choose Mbappé.”
