I Love Football – Victor Moses Not Quitting Any Time Soon

The 2013 AFCON winner has not had it great at club level in recent times, but he confesses that his love for the game far outweighs the challenges he’s faced

Victor Moses has declared that his affection for football was birthed when he was a kid, and he has no intention of letting it go any time soon.

The Chelsea winger shocked many of his fans when he announced his retirement from the Super Eagles after helping the team to the knockout phase of the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

His decision to quit was not unconnected with his desire to focus on his club career, having played a crucial role in Chelsea’s remarkable romp to the 2017 Premier League title.

But it has not turned out as planned for the former Wigan playmaker, with the Blues declaring him surplus to requirement and sending him on-loan to Turkish side Fenerbahce.

Moses has, however, found a new lease of life at Inter Milan, where he has reunited with ex-Blues boss, Antonio Conte.

“I love football; it’s been my passion since I was a child,” Moses told Inter’s Matchday Programme, as per Football Italia.

“It’s in my blood and what I love doing. The turning point of my career came when I made my debut with Crystal Palace when I was 16.

“I entered the pitch, and the atmosphere was incredible. It made me think that football was my reason for living, something where I could give everything with 100 per cent commitment.”

Moses, 29, will hope to be actively involved when Internazionale face Sassuolo later this evening.
