Reports: PSG Eye Another Super Eagles Star

The newly crowned Ligue 1 champions are interested in Ola Aina, but the Torino man is not the only Nigerian international they are eyeing

According to reports, Paris Saint Germain have identified Leicester City’s midfielder Wilfred Ndidi as one of their transfer targets this summer.

The Paris based side are reportedly looking for a central midfielder, and according to ESPN, Ndidi is one of the players they’ve identified.

The Super Eagles star is currently one of the best midfielders in his position, and PSG feel he would add a lot to their already star-studded team.

Although the Thomas Tuchel led side already have Idrissa Gueye and Leandro Paredes, none has lived up to Ndidi’s level this season.

The Super Eagles star is arguably the player that makes the Foxes tick and he’s played a role in his side surge in the Premier League table.

Brendan Rodgers side currently are well on course to qualify for the Champions League next season as they sit in third place in the English top-flight.

Ndidi has played a vital role in their impressive form this season. The former Genk man is the fulcrum of the side, acting as a shield for the backline, while he’s also the base that sets up their attacks.

The 23-year-old is among the leading players with most interceptions and tackles in the Premier League this campaign.

With performances like this, it’s no surprise to see PSG develop an interest in the Nigerian international. But the French champions may have to spend big if they are to get their man as Ndidi has a contract that runs till 2024.
