Odion Ighalo Could Leave Manchester United This Month

The former Super Eagles star is living the dream at Old Trafford, but it could all end soon with his contract set to expire at the end of May

Odion Ighalo wants to stay at Manchester United for a more extended period, but that may not be possible unless the Shanghai Shenhua agree a deal with the Red Devils.

The former Watford striker joined United from the Chinese side in a loan deal that was supposed to keep him till the end of the season.

The deal initially should expire at the end of May, but with Coronavirus affecting football activities, the season is set to run until July.

Ighalo has proven to be a success at Manchester United with four goals in just eight appearances since he signed. The 30-year-old wants to finish the season with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer side, but there has to be an agreement with Shanghai.

According to Manchester Evening News, the Chinese Super League is set to resume in June or July, and Shanghai want Ighalo for the campaign.

It remains to be seen what the future holds for Ighalo as United are also having second thoughts on offering him a new deal.
