Captain of the Nigerian national female football team Asisat Oshoala has expressed her delight after helping Barcelona Femeni win the 2019/2020 Primera División Femenina season.

It’s Oshoala's first league title triumph in Europe despite previously playing for Liverpool and Arsenal.

Barcelona Ladies were declared the champions following the decision of the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) to call off the non-professional football season in the country, due to the effects of the coronavirus pandemic.

And after staying at the top of the league table since Game Week 3, winning 19 of 21 games played and suffering no defeat, Lluís Cortés women have been the best team in the country and deserved winners.

Oshoala played a crucial role in the triumph with the 25-year-old striker netting 20 league goals for the club, and another six strikes in other competitions.

An elated Oshoala took to Twitter to congratulate her teammates, the team's technical crew as well as her fans on the historic win.

“21 games played, 19 won, 2 draws, 0 defeat, 86 goals for, 6 goals against. Top of the league since game day 3. I'm just gonna say we have the best team @FCBfemeni, congratulations my queens, ever working technical crew, fans all around the world. WE MADE IT! CHAMPIONS 19/20,” the Super Falcons star wrote.
