The Nigeria international brilliant performances for both club and country have earned him a spot in ESPN’s list of best players aged 21 or under
The first edition which was released last year had the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Trent Alexander Arnold and Joao Felix, and they have also been included in this year’s list.
Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen was also named as one of the best talents aged 21 or under this year. The 21-year-old is having a brilliant season with Lille in his first season in France.
Signed from Royal Charleroi last summer, Osimhen has been a revelation this season with 18 goals in 38 appearances for Les Dogues.
The 21-year-old has been a menace to Ligue 1 defenders and goalkeepers. His form this season has attracted interest from Europe’s top clubs including Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham.
Lille paid 13m Euros for his services, but Osimhen’s value has more than doubled with the Nigeria international now valued at 30m Euros.
His exploit has not gone unnoticed and has been named in ESPN’s best player aged 21 or under for this year.
Osimhen joins an exclusive 36 man list which includes Mbappe, Sancho, De Ligt, Arnold, Felix and many others.
