The Super Falcons skipper celebrated her first anniversary with the league leaders with a goal in the 3-0 victory over Sevilla on Saturday.
Asisat Oshoala netted in Barcelona’s comfortable defeat of their foes, her first strike in three matches to help the Cules extend their lead at the top of the Spain Women Primera Division.
The win came exactly one year to the day the four-time Africa Women Player of the Year joined Barcelona on loan from the Chinese side, Dalian Quanjian. The Spanish team then made the deal permanent in the summer after Oshoala scored seven goals in her first seven league games and netted the only strike in a 2-1 loss to Lyon in the final of the Women Champions League.
The 25-year-old has since repaid the trust the club reposed in her with her goal against Sevilla being her 15th in just 17 appearances for Barcelona this term.
“Glad to be on the score sheet again and of course great teamwork and happy 1 year anniversary to me and my cules family,” the former Arsenal forward wrote on her Twitter account.
