Leicester City manager, Brendan Rodgers, has revealed Wilfred Ndidi is a doubt for his side’s Premier League clash against Wolverhampton Wanders tonight.
The Super Eagles star picked up a knee injury last month which made him undergo surgery, and it was supposed to keep him out for a month.
However, he made a return earlier than scheduled in the Foxes win over West Ham and the Carabao Cup loss to Aston Villa.
But it appears he was rushed back too soon as he missed the subsequent games against Brentford and Chelsea. It was hoped he would regain full fitness during the winter break, but Rodgers confirmed he’s likely to miss the clash against Wolves on Friday.
The former Liverpool manager revealed Ndidi is still having some reactions to the operation and that will keep him out of the clash against Nuno Espirito’s men.
“Wilfred Ndidi is probably going to be doubtful for this game. He came back very, very quickly and played in the West Ham and Aston Villa games, but it was just a little reaction to his operation. We’ll see how he is, Rodgers told Leicester City’s website
Ndidi’s potential absence will be a big miss for a Leicester City side that have won just two of their last seven matches in all competitions.
