Super Falcons striker Asisat Oshoala celebrated marked her CAF African Women’s player of the year award with a four-goal haul in Barcelona Femeni’s win over CD Tacon.
This comes after she scored a brace for the league leaders in their 3-0 win over Athletic Bilbao last weekend. The 25-year-old who was named the best player in Africa for a record-equalling fourth time opened the scoring for Lluís Cortés side in the 2nd minute.

Jennifer Hermoso doubled the league leaders lead 15 minutes later with a perfect finish. Oshoala scored Barca’s third and her second of the game in 19th minute before Marta Torrejon added a fourth seven minutes before half-time.
However, Barcelona were not done as Oshoala completed her hat-trick two minutes after the restart with a perfect finish past Tacon’s goalkeeper. She added her fourth in the 63rd minute to cap off an incredible week.

With the win, Barcelona maintained their seven point lead over Atletico Madrid. Lluís Cortés side currently has 43 points from 15 games, while the champions sit in second place with 36 points from the same number of games.
