Super Eagles star Semi Ajayi scored at both ends of the pitch as West Brom and Leeds United played out a 1-1 draw in the top of the table Championship clash at the Hawthorns.
Both sides were levelled on points going into the game, but it was Leeds who sit at the top by the virtue of a superior goal difference.
The game started brightly with the Baggies taking the lead in the second minute through Semi Ajayi who slotted in following a goalmouth scramble.
It was the start Slaven Bilic’s side needed as they went into the break with the lead. However, Leeds drew level seven minutes into the second half, but they have Semi Ajayi to thank.
The former Rotherham defender could only direct Patrik Bamford’s header into his own net. Nevertheless, it was a good performance from the Nigerian international.
The 26-year-old was making his 26th league appearance for the Baggies received a rating of 7.0 on whoscored.com. With his goal also, Semi Ajayi has now scored four times in the English championship this season.
Both teams remain level on points with 52 points, but Leeds stay top courtesy of a better goal difference.
