Former Monaco Midfielder Advises Victor Osimhen Amid Transfer Speculations

One of Super Eagles hottest strikers in Europe has been advised to maintain his steady rise and develop his football talent with his Ligue 1 club rather than seek a transfer away from the club.

Victor Osimhen has been a revelation since joining Lille from Royal Charleroi in the summer. He has scored 13 goals in all competitions for Lille so far in the current campaign, thereby making him a target for clubs in Europe during the January transfer window.

With interest from clubs such as Newcastle, Barcelona, Chelsea, and Liverpool, the former Golden Eaglets star could be lured with a mouth-watering request.

Reacting to this development in a chat with Brila Fm, former Monaco midfielder, Haruna Lukman believes Lille forward, Victor Osimhen still has a lot to learn from the club, and must not be in a rush to seek for any transfer.

“My advice for him is to stay in the French Ligue and play one or two years, which will be very good for him,” said Lukman.

“He should not think about the money, the money would come, he should just stay focused and be wise, when the time comes, he should move. But for now, he should stay in the French Ligue, to be a better striker, it starts from the French Ligue.”

“By the time he stays for one or two years, his transfer value would have increased,” he concluded. Osimhen will return to Ligue 1 action when Lille travel to Dijon on January 11
