Aston Villa Fans Ask Club Not To Sign Super Eagles Star

With numerous reports linking Bordeaux forward Josh Maja to a move to the Villa Park, some Aston Villa fans have shown their displeasure with such a transfer.

The Claret & Blue Army are believed to be desperately in search of a new centre forward with their top striker, Brazil international Wesley, set to miss the rest of the season due to injury. The 23-year-old suffered a knee ligament damage in the Villans’ 2-1 win at Burnley.

The likes of Chelsea’s Belgium international Michy Batshuayi and former Arsenal and Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor have been linked with a move to Villa Park in recent days.

Former Sunderland attacker Josh Maja – already making waves in the Ligue 1 – is also another option reportedly being considered by Villa boss, Dean Smith.

However, certain fans of The Lions will have anyone but the 22-year-old Maja with some lamenting the Nigerian international’s lack of experience

One fan would rather have Maja’s compatriot, Victor Osimhen instead while another thinks it’s too much of a gamble to pin the club’s Premier League survival hopes on the tender shoulders of the youngster.

Here are some more responses to the transfer update:

Some other fans, however, believe Josh Maja could be the solution to the club’s immediate striking problems.
