Super Eagles forward, Kelechi Iheanacho was an unused substitute as Leicester City defeated Watford 2-0 at the King Power Stadium in Wednesday’s Premier League game.
The Nigerian international who shone brilliantly for the Foxes in their 2-1 victory over Everton at the weekend after coming on as a substitute, failed to get the nod of manager, Brendan Rodgers.
Recall that Iheanacho scored his first Premier League goal before setting up Jamie Vardy after Everton forward, Richarlison had given the team the lead.
The former Golden Eaglets star was expected to be among some of the players that Rodgers would call upon but then, he sat on the bench throughout 90 minutes.
However, Leicester City earned the maximum point thanks to a Jamie Vardy’s penalty in the 55th minute and James Maddison’s goal to push the team back into second place in the Premier League table.
