Josh Maja Receives High Praises From Former Juventus And Portugal Star

The Super Eagles star is receiving plaudits after scoring a hattrick in Bordeaux 6-0 win over Nimes last night. This comes after he scored in last weekend’s draw against Reims.

With four goals in his last two games, Maja is currently the hottest striker in the French top division. The win over Nimes put Les Girondins in third place in the French topflight.

Speaking after the match, Bordeaux manager, Paulo Sousa praised the way his team approached the game. The former Juventus and Portugal star also reserved praises for hattrick hero, saying he is one of the best finishers in his team.

“It was a great match, especially after the second goal. Before that, the team ran out of speed. Our traffic was neither fast nor vertical.

When we started playing vertically in the middle, we really hurt our opponent. After the second goal, the team was more confident, stretched the game, played between the lines, with a change of gear, good last passes.

Josh (Maja) is one of our best players in finishing. Whenever he works well on the first control of the ball, he does not need a lot of space to finish well.
