Udinese will be counting on the experience of Super Eagles defender, William Troost-Ekong as the team welcome Spal in Sunday’s Serie A clash at the Stadio Friuli.
The Nigerian international has started in nine of his team 11 matches in Serie A and has received just a yellow card.
Troost-Ekong, who is expected to join the Super Eagles squad for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin and Lesotho respectively after today’s game, will be hoping to help his team to victory against a Spal side that is battling for relegation.
SPAL, come into the match on a run of 5 away defeats in a row, failing to score in each. They have picked up 4 points from 18 from their last 6 matches.
The White and Blues lost their last league match at home to Sampdoria. The final score of the match was 0-1.
Udinese won the previous match between the sides, back in May. It was their first win against SPAL since their 2-0 win in Serie B back in 1978.
