Ahead of Leicester City’s big clash against Arsenal on Saturday evening, Foxes boss, Brendan Rodgers has praised the defensive stability of his team which Ndidi plays an important role.

The Foxes have the best defensive record alongside Sheffield United this season, while they are also the second-best attacking team in the league this campaign.

While the attacking record is a thing to be proud, Rodgers has decided to praise the defensive organization. The former Swansea boss believes the Foxes wouldn’t have been able to score many goals if the defence was not solid.

“When you play football, you have to firstly defend well and work on it every day in terms of your distances and lines. If you can defend well, you will get more opportunities to score goals.”

Although Leicester sit in third place, six points ahead of Saturday’s opponents, Rodgers is not taking anything for granted as he believes Arsenal have the players to hurt them.

“We’re going into the game against a good side, but with everything around them, they’re still sat fifth in the league and they’ve got some good players, Rodgers said.”

The Foxes will be hoping to put daylight between themselves and the Gunners when they host Emery’s side in Saturday’s late kickoff.
