Eredivisie: Nigeria’s Wonder Boy On Fire As He Scores Brace In Heerenveen’s Victory

Heerenveen came back from a goal down to beat Sparta Rotterdam courtesy goals from their Nigerian wonder kid Chidera Ejuke.

The Farmers as they are fondly called were behind for over 70 minutes after Lars Veldwijk gave Rotterdam a shock lead in the 26th minute.

However, goals from Ejuke in the 73rd and 79th minute turned the tie around for Heerenveen as they secured a brilliant win.

With the brace, Ejuke now has four goals in the Dutch topflight this season and five goals in all competitions. The 21-year-old who was not allowed to link up with the Olympic Eagles by his club has been in top form this season and that earned him Eredivisie’s young player of the month of September.

The win over Rotterdam put Heerenveen in sixth place in the Eredivisie table, three points behind PSV Eindhoven who sit in third place.
