Club Brugge Bank On Super Eagles Forward To Nail Down Galatasaray In Champions League

With a slim hope of qualifying to the knockout stages of the UEFA Champions League, Club Brugge will be playing for a place in the Europa League as the team visit Galatasaray at the Türk Telekom Stadium on Tuesday.

The Belgian club’s major highlight in this season Champions League was their incredible 2-2 draw against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium on October 1st, 2019, where Super Eagles striker Emmanuel Bonaventure Dennis rattled the White Angels defence with ease.

The Nigerian international, who will be making his fifth appearances in the Europe elite competition, will be hoping to increase his goal tally against a Turkish side that have lost three and drawn one match in the group.

Club Brugge require an unlikely set of results to progress through to the latter stages of this competition for the first time in their history, but that will not stop Philippe Clement’s side from believing that they can achieve their goal.

Victory for the Belgians on Tuesday evening, coupled with a defeat for Real Madrid against Paris Saint-Germain, would leave Brugge needing to beat the Spanish giants in front of their fans on Matchday Six.

Possible Line Ups

Galatasaray: Kocuk; Donk, Calik, Teixeira; Mariano, Feghouli, Lemina, Bayram, Tasdemir; Buyuk, Babel

Club Brugge: Mignolet; Mata, Mechele, Deli, Sobol; Vormer, Rits, Vanaken; Tau, Dennis, Okereke
