Everton struggled in the Premier League this season may have come as a surprise to many football pundits despite signing some quality players this summer.
Currently sitting 17th on the league table with 11 points, Everton manager, Marco Silva has seen his job come under serious threat after failing to change the fortune of the team.
However, Silva may now be banking on Super Eagles winger, Alex Iwobi to help transform the team’s contrasting form in the league as the Toffees visit Southampton on Saturday.
With a goal still to his credit, the former Arsenal star, who has made nine appearances, will be aiming to produce a sterling performance that would help Everton pick the maximum point against the Saints.
The main issue for Silva to solve is Everton’s away form; they have lost their last four top-flight games on the road and have picked up just one point on their travels this term – that coming on the opening day of the season.
The Saints have won five of their last six Premier League home games against Everton, while 11 of their 12 victories over the Toffees in this competition have come in front of their fans.
