Arsenal Sack Unai Emery As Fans Rejoice

Following a string of disappointing results, the Arsenal board have taken the decision to dismiss manager Unai Emery.

This comes after the Gunners 2-1 loss to Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League on Thursday night. Emery’s sack was confirmed in an official statement released on Arsenal’s website.

A statement on the club’s website read: We announce today that the decision has been taken to part company with our head coach Unai Emery and his coaching team.

Son of Arsenal owner who is also a member of the club’s board, Josh Kroenke revealed Emery was sacked due to a series of disappointing results.

Josh Kroenke said: “Our most sincere thanks go to Unai and his colleagues who were unrelenting in their efforts to get the club back to competing at the level we all expect and demand. We wish Unai and his team nothing but future success.” The decision has been taken due to results and performances not being at the level required.

Meanwhile, Arsenal fans took to Twitter to express their excitement following the news that Emery has been sacked as the club’s manager.

Former Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri is the favourite to replace the Spaniard at the Emirates.
