A fine weekend for Nigerian stars abroad got even better as Joe Aribo grabbed his first ever league goal for Rangers at Livingstone on Saturday afternoon.
Super Eagles midfield wonder Joe Aribo has netted his first league goal for Steven Gerrard’s side after claiming the opener in the Gers’ game against Livingstone at the Tony Macaroni Arena.

Before he broke the duck in the league, the 23-year-old Camberwell-born midfielder had found the back of the net once in the League Cup and three times in the Europa League but he had not been able to replicate his goalscoring form in the league.
However, it took him just 33 minutes to smash one in with his sweet left foot at Livingstone to hand the Ibrox giants a first half lead.

It would be recalled that the former Charlton Athletic playmaker scored on his debut for the Super Eagles back in September when he netted a delightful finish in Nigeria’s 2-2 draw at Ukraine.
He then repeated the same trick as he fired in a beautiful goal against Brazil in a 1-1 stalemate in Singapore last month.
Coach Gernot Rohr would be expecting that Aribo can replicate his goalscoring form when Nigeria face Benin in an AFCON qualifying match next week.
