Liverpool Now Favourites For The Premier league Title Following City Loss

Liverpool continued their impressive start to the Premier League campaign and have now won the opening eight fixtures of the season. This combined with their strong finish to last season means they have now won 17 consecutive Premier League fixtures. This is a remarkable run and now means they are only one behind the record set in 2017 when Manchester City won 18 matches in a row. This run has also led to continued support in them finally landing the title, with many using the offers available at online-casinos.ng. They are also now the favourites, as City dropped further behind with a defeat against Wolves.

Liverpool now enter the international break with an eight point gap at the top of the table and remain the inform European side at present. As expected it was a hugely difficult match against Leicester City, with a very late converted penalty meaning maximum points were taken for Liverpool. Things keep dropping for Liverpool and they will now never have a better chance of landing the title, with City already having lost two of their opening eight fixtures.

The first of these loses for City was the shock 3-2 defeat by Norwich. However, City responded with five victories in succession that included the record breaking 8-0 victory against Watford. In this period they have also won their two opening Champions league games and are the favourites to now go on and land the title. This was the 3-0 away victory against Shakhtar Donetsk and the 2-0 home success against Dinamo Zagreb.

Manchester City then went into the recent home fixture against Wolves as the overwhelming favourites to win their sixth game in succession. However, they were extremely poor and could only produce two shots on target from 18 shots. This led to their downfall as Adama Traore scored two late goals and took the maximum points for the visitors. City really cannot afford to drop further behind Liverpool if they are to retain their title, with eight points now separating the two sides.

Next up for Manchester City is an away fixture against Crystal Palace after the international break. The latter have made a strong start to the season picking up 14 points to date, so this is going to be another tough test for the champions. Liverpool, on the other hand, will be looking to extend their winning run away at Old Trafford, with United continuing to struggle in the league.
