Exclusive: Rohr Sends Warning To Super Eagles Stars Ahead Of Ukraine Friendly

Ahead of Nigeria’s international friendly tie against Ukraine in Dnipro on September 10, Super Eagles technical adviser, Gernot Rohr has issued a stern warning to the players that lateness to training camp won’t be tolerated any longer.

The game will be the first match the team will be playing after winning the third-place match against Tunisia at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.

Rohr told Soccernet.ng that the invited foreign-based players are expected to join the camp in Ukraine.

He also revealed that lateness to camp won’t be tolerated if the team must create some level of understanding ahead of the September 10 friendly tie in Dnipro.

“We are really ready to receive some of the invited players to camp because this is the first time we will be playing together after the 209 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.

“Ukraine is a very good team and I don’t think we will approach the game in a friendly manner but like a cup game. I see every game like a true competition and I want the players to also think the same way.

“We want to win because that’s our priority for the Ukraine clash. The players we have invited are also aware that they need to arrive to camp early in order to create understanding amongst all the players.

“This is a game we must approach with all seriousness and I am sure the players will not disappoint.
