Mourinho Reveals Where Man Utd Will Finish This Season

These are dark times for Manchester United after they suffered a 2-0 defeat to West Ham on Sunday which has left them out of the top four places in the Premier League table, and it could be their reality at the end of the season according to Jose Mourinho.

Goals from Andriy Yamoralenko and Aaron Cresswell secured victory for the Hammers as United’s away woes continued.

The result leaves them in the eighth position, three points behind Arsenal who currently occupies the final top-four place, but Jose Mourinho believes Solskjaer’s team are in danger of missing out on champions league football for the second year running and could even struggle to make the top six.

Speaking before the loss to West Ham on Skysports, Mourinho who was sacked as United’s manager last December said the team have not made any progress under Solskjaer who was his replacement and will struggle this season.

“They are far (from the top two),” he added. “It’s difficult for me to answer. For two seasons I could feel lots of positives things; obviously the third season was not good enough. I was sacked – probably deservedly because the final responsibility comes as a manager – but the sad reality is they’re worse than before.

“Maybe people think that I’m enjoying the situation but I’m not. I have people at the club that I love and I have a lot of respect for the fans. I think they are going to be really in trouble to get not just into the top four but the top six. It’s with a sad feeling that I say that.”
