How Former Super Eagles Star Was Tricked Into Posting Fake Ruben Neves Quote On Instagram

Former Super Eagles midfielder and captain, John Mikel Obi was tricked by a fake instagram user, who impersonated Wolves star, Reuben Neves.

The alleged ‘quote’ from the Portuguese midfielder read: “Back in Porto, we were given DVD’s of John Obi Mikel to take home and study everyday. We used to call him the professor of football.”

Mikel harmlessly uploaded the image of the quote onto his official Instagram with the caption ‘I am honoured’.

Recall that the former Chelsea star was part of the Super Eagles squad that won bronze at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.

In a 14-year international career between 2005 and 2019, he played 88 times for Nigeria, scoring six goals.
