Leicester City hit sorry Newcastle for five with the Nigeria international earning plaudits for his inspiring display in the middle of the park which set the template for a commanding afternoon for the Foxes.
If Brendan Rodgers’ side are not at their best yet, then they are frighteningly close as Leicester City played Newcastle off the pitch on Sunday afternoon to record a stunning 5-0 victory over the Magpies.
Ricardo Pereira’s first half strike, which was followed by a Jamie Vardy double that sandwiched a Dummett own goal, had given the home side a commanding 4-0 lead over 10-man Newcastle who had Isaac Hayden sent off in the closing stages of the first half.
On the stroke of 90, however, Ndidi produced a classic swivel and shoot to grab the fifth goal of the night and his second of the season.
Ndidi took this really well on the swivel. Such a steady player minding the shop, it's easy to forget he does also have decent technique striking the ball. https://t.co/nQhXSr8KSo

Ndidi’s goal only crowned an amazing performance that had seen him successfully complete 91% of his passes, win an incredible 9 tackles, made a game high 5 interceptions, won 11 of his fifteen ground duels plus 10 of his 14 aerial duels while 100% of his long balls reached their predetermined destinations.
In recognition of this almost super-human statistics, BBC Leicester snubbed 2-goal hero, Jamie Vardy, to hand the match’s man-of-the-match gong to the Super Eagles midfield enforcer.
