Alexis Sanchez has revealed why he left Arsenal for Manchester United but took a sly dig at Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Jose Mourinho for his struggles at the club.
The Chilean international who is currently on loan at Inter Milan joined Manchester United in January 2018 from Arsenal. A lot was expected from Sanchez when he made the move, but the former Barcelona striker struggled for form and could only manage five goals in 45 appearances.
Sanchez was the highest earner at the club, earning a weekly wage of £500,000, but failed to justify it as he was hampered by injuries and loss of form.
With him on such a high wage and not offering anything, the club decided to cut their losses by sending him on loan to Inter Milan- although United still pays a larger share of the wages.
Nevertheless, despite his struggles at the club, Sanchez revealed that he has no regrets joining Manchester United. “No, I don’t regret going to Manchester United. I am very happy I went to Manchester United, he said in a video gotten by Soccernet.ng via BBC.

“But Manchester United was growing at the time, they were buying players to win something, and I wanted to join them to win everything.
When pressed on why he does well for his country but not for United, he revealed it was because he was not given enough minutes by the managers he’s had at the club.
“I think I am very happy when I play for my national team. I was happy at Man Utd too, but I have always said to my friends I want to play, if they would let me play I’ll do my best.”
“And if they make me play a full game I’ll win it. But sometimes I would play 60 minutes and I would not play the next one, and I did not know why.”
