See What Ndidi Said After Gifting Chelsea A Goal Before Making Amends In Leicester’s Draw

Wilfried Ndidi has revealed how he felt after making a mistake and also scoring in Leicester’s 1-1 draw with Chelsea in the Premier League game between the two sides at Stamford Bridge on Sunday evening.

The Nigerian international was culpable for Chelsea’s opener as he was robbed of possession by Mason Mount who then fired past Kasper Schmeichel to give Chelsea the lead.

However, he will make amends for his error as he got the Foxes back on level terms with a bullet header from a James Maddison’s corner.

Although Leicester had chances to win the game with Maddison missing from close range, Ndidi was still downcast after the match.

Speaking to Skysports after the match, the former Genk midfielder revealed he does not want to think about it but praised the team’s effort to bounce back.

When asked on what changed in Leicester’s approach for the second half the Nigerian international said: ” I think we actually put the first team aside and we asked to actually push up, and forget about the one goal they scored.  And then we just have to react.

He revealed the mistake is not something he wants to remember, but it is part of football. “It is something I try not to think about, but it still comes up in my head.”

He also revealed he was not aware of Mount’s presence, but it is in the past. The midfielder also received praises from Maddison, who said he was massive in the game.
