The January transfer window is still four months away, but Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been handed a huge boost in news that will delight the club’s supporters.
The Red Devils were one of the busiest clubs in the summer transfer market after spending heavily on a couple of players.
The club paid 85M pounds for Harry Maguire to make him the most expensive defender in world football while they also splashed 55m pounds on Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace. They also brought in Daniel James from Swansea for a reported fee of 21m pounds.
But despite these signings, there was still a feeling of dissatisfaction over the club’s failure to bring in a midfielder and a striker to replace Romelu Lukaku who left for Inter Milan this summer.
However, it appears the club authorities are now planning to fix it ahead of the winter transfer window. According to the DailyMail, the club chiefs are ready to offer Solskjaer the 75m pounds they got from Lukaku’s sale as part of the transfer budget for January window.
United were linked with 64m pounds rated Bruno Fernandes in the summer, but a move could not materialize. They have also been linked with Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho who just signed a new £190k per week with the Black and Yellow.
Nevertheless, Solskjaer is expected to go fully for these targets in January and will be confident after been handed an additional £75m.
