Bad News For Real Madrid Ahead Of Celta Vigo Clash

Real Madrid midfielder, Eden Hazard has been ruled out of Saturday’s La Liga opener against Celta Vigo due to a thigh injury.

The former Chelsea star developed the injury during the club’s training session on Friday morning.

There are speculations that the Belgian midfielder could be out of action for three to four weeks. Some of the games he would miss are Real Valladolid, Villarreal, and Levante during that period.

A club statement read: ‘After the tests carried out after training today on our player Eden Hazard by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with a muscular injury to the anterior part of his right thigh. His recovery will continue to be assessed.’

Recall that Hazard joined Real Madrid last month after completing a deal worth £150m from Chelsea.

He reportedly arrived at the Bernabeu overweight after enjoying some time off with his family and managed just one goal in pre-season.

Supporters are cursing their luck once again after it was confirmed on Wednesday that new signing Rodrygo had suffered a similar problem and was facing up to three weeks on the sidelines.

Real are reportedly still looking to bring in some reinforcements, not only to help with their injury struggles but to add to the squad as a whole.
